Laura Robinson

Ballroom & Latin Instructor

Laura started dancing at age 4 in her local ballroom and latin dance studio in England. She quickly progressed through the Imperial Society of Dance examination and medalist competition system. By the age of 12, she had achieved Ballroom, Latin, and Sequence ISTD National Champion.

 

In 2012, she was selected by Dancesport England to represent England in the World Championships. In that same year, Laura travelled to Moscow, Hungary, and Latvia with her partner at the time, representing England. In 2013, she captained the Junior British Team in the prestigious Open British Junior Blackpool Festival. In 2014, Laura began a new partnership with Luke Miller. They became German Open to the World Champions in Closed Under 19 and Under 21 Latin American categories. By 2015, they became UK Closed and British Closed Under 21 Champions and were placed 3rd in the WDC World Championships in Paris.

 

In 2016, Laura began her professional Latin career in Canada with Richard Lifshitz. They were crowned the International Professional Rising Star Champions in 2017 and have since completed all their professional exams and judging licenses. Laura enjoys all aspects of the competitive world, and the top coaches and choreographers that she has been privileged to work with. However, she has also adored her teaching, mentoring, coaching and role model aspects that her career has brought.
