Melanie & Lionel are excellent instructors, very knowledgeable and fun to work with. The studio has a beautiful dance floor, one of the most spacious in Ottawa. The Friday dance parties and special events are my favourite, not to be missed!

Frequently Asked

Common Questions

The questions we hear most from new students.

What ages do you teach?expand_more

We have three age-segmented streams: ballroom basics for ages 4-6, ballroom and Latin for ages 7-12, and a dedicated teens ballroom class for ages 13-17. Send us a message with your child's age if you want help picking the right starting point.

Does my child need previous dance experience?expand_more

No. Our kids classes are designed to welcome beginners. Children with previous experience in other styles will find the partnership and ballroom-specific technique a useful new layer.

Do you offer competitive opportunities for kids?expand_more

Yes. Our older kids and teens can move into the competitive track when they are ready. Many of our junior students compete provincially and nationally, and our instructors have trained junior national champions in both Canada and the USA.

What should my child wear and bring?expand_more

Comfortable clothing they can move in. For ballroom and Latin classes, any low-heeled shoe with a smooth sole works to start. Once your child commits to a series, we can recommend appropriate dance shoes.
